Last month, actor Michael Emmerson revealed that he and Jorge Garcia had filmed scenes together of their characters, Ben and Hurley, being in charge of the island. The scenes weren’t included in the series finale but will be part of the Complete Series Blu-Ray and DVD set, which hits stores in August.
As the release date gets closer, we have a few details.
The title given to the cherry on top of the season finale is “The New Man in Charge.” While we assume the series creators mean Hurley, who knows what they have in store for us? For all we know, Ben Linus will get to be top dog for a few of those 11 minutes.
Also, The New York Post’s Jarett Wieselman has actually seen the first of those 11 minutes and reported: “Let me tell you—the long wait is worth it!”
The biggest question for “Lost” fans is whether or not this will be included on the complete sixth season sets or just in the complete series box sets.
I have all 5 seasons and waiting on the sixth… but if I have to buy the whole complete series to get it, then I can live without it… begrudgingly.
I’m sure someone will put it online somewhere and burn it to a DVD at a later date. Sorry, but I can only be pimped to a certain degree.
If the only put it out on the whole series box sets rather than just the individual series 6 one then they are really sticking two fingers up to those of us who stuck with the show and supported it by buying the individual box sets!
The official press release for the Season 6 DVD and Blu-Ray sets indicates that the “epilogue” will be included.
