“Heroes” may not quite be dead yet.
Series creator Tim Kring is currently pitching a mini-series that would wrap-up the recently canceled series to NBC. Kring says that he has the support of the entire cast of the show would like to return for the project.
The miniseries would be set approximately one year after Claire Bennett (Hayden Panettiere) threw herself off a Ferris wheel in front of the media to end season four. The repercussions of that reveal would be explored.
“There will be a huge cultural and social change in the world,” says Kring. “Some [of our characters] will be hiding, some struggling, some basking in the glory.”
“Claire, who desperately wanted a normal life, will become a reluctant spokesperson for the abnormals,” TV Guide adds. “Sylar (Zachary Quinto) will again struggle with his dark side. And Adrian Pasdar will likely return, though not as Nathan, who died.”
No word yet from NBC on the project.

Put it like this… sweets are bad for your teeth, but I still eat them. Thus, I will return to see how they wrap it up.

Sounds like the plot to one of the horrible SciFi (sorry SyFy) Saturday night movies (*shudder*)

Maybe Claire gets a new day job on Mythbusters. Imagine the savings on insurance alone. ๐

It’s too bad some other canceled shows can’t get wrap-ups as well.

It sounds very much like “It’s been a year since we were revealed to the public, and *nothing* changed. The character hooks sound the same as they have for the past four years.

Mr. Kring, do what you must to get the studio guys to ok this. Lots of people needing some form of closure at “the very least”. Thank you!
d. kardos says
Forgot to add, bring back Mr. Pasdar, he is the best and we will accept him in any role. However, it has never seemed right to break up the brotherhood. Thank you.

Okay i think pasdar will return as a younger arthur petrelli( in the comics they portrayed him as highly resembling pasdar instead of a younger forster) or since Sylar struggles with his dark side it may be him posing as nathan again. Nathan in flashbacks. lastly the 3rd petrelli brother no-one knew of. >.<.and BRING MICAH BACK DARN IT!!!!!! HE WAS A GREAT CHARACTER!!!!!!!

So very sad to see this show come to an end in such an abrupt way. I know all good things must come to an end, but i had hoped we’d get a little more closure to the show that prompted a global phenomenon, even though in latter years popularity had dwindled. My husband and I are die-hard fans, each of us having tattoos from the show (I have the helix on my right shoulder like Jessica from season 1, and my husband has the eclipse with the helix over it on his forearm), naming our dog Noah Bennet, receiving the sword of Hiro Nakamura as a wedding present, and most recently naming our 10 week old son Gabriel after the character Zachary Quinto so brilliantly created and gave life to.
We assert emphatically that Gabriel Gray/Sylar was/is one of the greatest villains of all time (I could write pages on why), and one of the most intriguing characters to watch grow and develop. Thank you for your talent, commitment, and brilliance. Heroes was what it was largely because of you, and of course the rest of one of the most incredible ensemble casts TV has ever seen.
PLEASE NBC – BRING BACK HEROES!!! Event if just for a wrap-up, I’d be happy! Please do this, for all your hard-core die-hard fans who would gladly donate $25 a piece to see this come to fruition. Think about it, if we had a million fans donate $20 a piece, that’s a $20 million movie/mini-series!
I’ll donate. Please do this!!!

bring it back to wrap it up. it could’nt end that way we didnt even know it would be the end. nbc is this how you treat your fans to your shows. so just do the mini-series i will donate to.

We’ve GOT to see how this ends! Even though popularity IN THE USA declined, it was still one of the most popular shows world-wide, and even though the later seasons “sucked,” that’s only in comparison to the first season! Seasons 2-4 were still better than almost anything else on TV!
If nothing else, I think NBC will go for it because Heroes was still incredibly high in DVD and iTunes sales, not to mention DVR recordings. It’s a highly profitable show, even if it was expensive to film, and I don’t think they’d miss out on the opportunity (especially since the majority of NBC’s current shows in their lineup are flopping like fish on a dock).
And with such a huge cliffhanger ending, how can they not give us closure? If nothing else, we need to find out if Peter and Emma really are “just friends.” ๐

I understand why they cancelled Heroes – the writing and plots became weak and redundant. But as a true Heroes fan, I would love for some closure – please don’t leave me hanging!
Sam says
This may not garner a lot of TV ratings if and when it airs but NBC will rake it in with the DVD/Blu-ray sales.

I AM REALLY LOOSING FAITH IN STARTING ANY NEW SERIES FOR FEAR OF THE NETWORKS CANCELING THEM. I NEVER REALLY RENTED OR BOUGHT DVD,S OF TELEVISION SERIES BEFORE BUT MAYBE IT WOULD BE THE BEST THING TO DO THESE DAYS . AT LEAST YOU KNOW THE SERIES WOULD HAVE AN ENDING.

NBC would definitely be in hirer standings if they brought Heroes back. All the actors want to do it the fans are begging and will even donate to see it happen. Funding not a problem tons of time to think about new plots. I dont want to see this just end I think there is a lot left untold. NBC where can I send my donation?
