EW‘s Michael Ausiello reports that actor Scott Bakula has signed on to resume his role of Steve Bartowski for the third season.
Ausiello reports that series creator Josh Schwartz indicated the return would be for several episodes and called the return of Chuck’s dad “the biggest thing we’ve ever done on the show.”
The return of Chuck’s dad would be only one of several big highlights to come in the upcoming third season, according to Ausiello.
Actress Yvonne Strahovski says the best is yet to come.
“It [gets] way better,” she tells Ausiello “I personally think that stakes are higher. And things happen [in episodes 6-10] that I’m sure everybody would love to see.”
“Chuck” airs tonight at 8 p.m. on NBC.
Stakes are higher. This season’s Chuck is already boasting of some A-List guest stars with Armand Assante being the first of many.
