Odds of “Chuck” Season Four Getting Better

January 11, 2010 By Mike Hickerson 4 Comments

If you didn’t watch the season premiere of “Chuck” last night, please make plans to tune in tonight as the show settles into its regular timeslot.

The show faces stiff competition from the 100th episode of “How I Met Your Mother” and Fox’s juggernaut “House.”

But if enough of us tune in, NBC excecutives have said that the series has a good shot of getting a fourth season.   Part of it is due to the departure of Jay Leno from primetime, leaving NBC scrambling to find shows to fill its schedule.

At the Television Critics Association’s current winter tour, NB’s Primetime Entertainment President Angela Bromstead siad, “We’ll see how it performs. It’s a show we love and it absolutely could be a contender [to return].”

Let’s start the campaign to get “Chuck” back for a fourth season now and now wait until later this season!

“Chuck” airs tonight on NBC at 8 p.m. EST. If you have to watch “House” (hint: he’ll misdiagnose whatever ailment it is for 55 minutes and come up with a solution in the final five minutes) or “How I Met Your Mother,” you can find them on Hulu tomorrow.

And in case you missed last night’s debut of “Chuck” or just want to see some of it again, here are some clips NBC sent over. You can also check out full episodes HERE (Chuck vs. the Pink Slip) and HERE (Chuck vs Three Words)

Chuck’s return was most welcome. With three hours of new Chuck in less that two days, I just might OD on the awesomeness.

Except that neither House nor How I Met Your Mother will actually *be* on Hulu tomorrow. Next Tuesday for House and, um, never for HIMYM.
