“Doctor Who” fans in the UK should get their wallets ready for the early moths of 2010. The Doctor Who News Page reports that several retail outlets have listed a preliminary schedule of releases for the first quarter of next year.
January 4 will see the release of the Peladon box-set. This release will include two Jon Pertwee stories, “Curse of Peladon” and “Monster of Peladon.”
This will be followed by another box set of stories on February 1. Called “Myths and Legends,” the set is rumored to include one Pertwee story and two Tom Baker stories. In the set will be “The Time Monster,” “Underworld” and “The Horns of Nimon.”
After that, a classic Tom Baker story, “The Masque of Mandragora” will hit shelves on February 8.
Then on March 1, the debut story from the seventh Doctor’s era, the much maligned “Time and the Rani” will hit DVD.
Also scheduled for release in mid January is a box-set of all the specials starring David Tennant in his final installments as the Doctor.
No word yet on when these DVDs will be released in other areas of the world.
The United States is a few months behind the U.K. releases and will kick off 2010 with the release of “The Keys of Marinus” and “The Twin Dilemma” on January 4.
