Frewer Returns to “Eureka”

Frewer Returns to “Eureka”

September 3, 2009 By Mike Hickerson 2 Comments

Actor Matt Frewer, best known for bringing Max Hedroom to life in the 80’s, will make a return visit to the quirky town of “Eureka” for next Friday’s all-ne episode.

Frewer is reprising his role as Jim Taggart for the episode called “Have an Ice Day.”  Frewer had a recurring role on the show for the first two seasons and his character was at one time romantically linked to Deputy Jo Lupo.

That is no longer the case, but Frewer says he’d like to explore that romantic connection again at some point.

“I wouldn’t be giving anything away by saying that my character and Deputy Jo Lupo are no longer an item,” Frewer told SciFi Wire. “Who knows? We may revisit that. Sex has got to rear its ugly head again, for God’s sake. It was fun to do, and hopefully we do it again.”

Frewer remained open to returning for another episode in the fourth season. Eureka producers need only ask. “We’ll find out when we’re going to shoot [season four],” Frewer said. “Probably it’ll be February or March. I’d love to do more. It’s great fun to do.”

At least Euerka fans can know that Taggart is still out there working on special projects like the arctic ice core. “It was the comeback for the character,” Frewer said of the upcoming episode.

The new episode airs next Friday, September 11.

And yes, I will apologize to the many “Eureka” fans for mistaking last Friday’s episode for the season finale. I went on the information on TV Guide’s listing for the show.

That’s good news. I’ve always like his work (well, except for that X-Force TV movie) and I’ve wondered why he hasn’t been on the show for a while.

That was actually Generation X not X-Force.
