The two-hour debut of “Warehouse 13” was the strongest debut for a series on SyFy/SciFi Channel since the debut of “Eureka” according to SciFi Wire.
The premiere drew an audience of 3.5 million viewers according to preliminary ratings and was the most watched cable show for the evening.’
“Warehouse 13” drew the third-highest total viewership for a Syfy original series, trailing only the series premieres of “Stargate Atlantis” (4.2 million total viewers on July 16, 2004) and “Eureka” (4.1 million total viewers on July 18, 2006).
When final DVR viewing is included, “Warehouse 13” will increase its viewership and may surpass one or both of those premieres.

I’m very glad to hear Warehouse 13’s first episode did well. Maybe it’ll convince Syfy to make more original science-fiction / fantasy programming, instead of the lame paranormal reality shows they’ve been leaning towards lately.

“:reality” shows are CHEAP. Much cheaper than a weekly dramatic show. Network Execs (any network, not just Sci Fi) love “cheap”.
Back to the subject: I watched it. I liked it … barely. I’ll give it about three more episodes before I decide if I want to continue.
What I *do* like .. is the old/unknown “technology” since I’m a licensed ham radio operator (callsign N1JDU) and things like that have a special place in my heart.

I enjoyed the show. Not totally original (check out The Lost Room miniseries or the older cult classic Friday the 13th The Series), but original enough to still be fun. I like the explanation of the objects as Technology waiting to be understood.
I also liked the first 20 minutes or so, at which point I said “And THAT is the show’s premise in a nutshell.” They did a good job of introducing the characters and explaining how they got together and why.
What I really liked was the “Who’s got the button” type of mystery in the first episode. It kept me guessing until the person with the object was discovered. It’s the rare show that keeps me in the dark as long as this one did, without resorting to last-minute plot twists.

I enjoyed it. It had a bit of the wonderful zany feel that The Chronicle had back in 2001.

X Files Meets Indiana Jones aon Friday the 13th. I liked it, and I hope the next 3 or 4 continue the ideas and concepts. It also has a sense of humor, which I appreciate. 3 cheers.
