There will be an exclusive sneak peek of the all-new “Stargate: Universe” (SG:U) television series tonight, Friday, March 20, 2009 during the 2-hr series finale of Battlestar Galatica on the SCI FI Channel beginning at 9/8C.

SG:U — A Synopsis:
A band of soldiers, scientists and civilians are forced through a stargate when their hidden base comes under attack. The desperate survivors emerge aboard an ancient ship, The Destiny, which is locked on an unknown course and unable to return to Earth. Faced with meeting the most basic needs of food, water and air, the group must unlock the secrets of the ship’s stargate to survive. The danger, adventure and hope they find on board Destiny will reveal the heroes and villains among them.

“Stargate: Universe”, a continuing sage in the Stargate franchise, will debut later this year as a two-hour movie event on SCI FI and will be distributed by MGM Worldwide Television Distribution. Brad Wright and Robert Cooper, of Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis, will serve as executive producers and writers on the new series.

Seemed pretty dark compared to what we’re used to from Stargate. I really hope they can pull it off.

I really hope its good, but I’m kinda disappointed that no one from Atlantis is going to be on the show.
