“Trek” Possibly Headed for IMAX

J.J. Abrams’ upcoming “Star Trek” movie just keeps getting bigger.

First Showing is reporting that Paramount is giving consideration to creating an IMAX version of next summer’s “Star Trek” reboot.  If it happens, this would be the first time the “Trek” franchise has been seen on the IMAX screen.

First Showing reports the film would be coverted from the 70mm format to the IMAX format.   The film was not shot with IMAX cameras according to reports.
