Here is the first look (courtesy of GateWorld) at the emperor’s new clothes for station Chief Richard Woolsey (Robert Picardo) for the new season of “Stargate: Atlantis.” Picardo takes over command of Atlantis from Amanda Tapping (Col. Samantha Carter) beginning on July 11 when the next season debuts.

ooooooh its gonna be an interesting season… robert picardo is a great actor.. but man woolsey… thats a character everyone is gonna love to hate!!!!
p.s thank god Amanda tapping is leaving… she did nothing in the Atlantis series, besides walk around and look sexy… sure im up for her looking sexy dont get me wrong.. but torri higginson (who was replaced by tapping) was able to look smoking hot, strong and do more than walk into a room deliver several lines and disappear for 3 episodes…
so robert picardo is welcome in my book, as long as he is more involved than a scene here and there.

Um, pooch? “Stargate Atlantis” has had uniforms like that for FOUR years now (that’s the whole series, by the way).
