Grant speeds to Heroes

Brea Grant has been cast as Joy, a woman with superspeed in the upcoming third season of Heroes reports TV Squad.

Grant, who was featured in a guest-stint on the second season of Friday Night Lights, will play a recurring character who encounters Hiro at a museum. According to reports, Joy will steal several paintings though her allegiance to good or evil is still up in the air.

Warehouse finds its leads

SciFi’s upcoming dramedy Warehouse 13 has found its leads according to the Hollywood Reporter. Eddie McClintock and Joanne Kelly have signed to star in the two-hour pilot for the potential series.

Warehouse, from UMS, revolves around two FBI agents — by-the-book Myka (Kelly) and rule-bender Peter (McClintock) — who, after saving the life of the U.S. president, are relocated to Warehouse 13, a location that houses supernatural objects the government has collected over the centuries. The duo’s assignment is to retrieve missing objects and investigate reports of new ones.

Caprica casting news

Battlestar Galatica’s spin-off prequel Caprica will see Paula Malcomson in a leading role reports the Hollywood Reporter.

The two-hour potential pilot for a Galactica spin-off will follow the evolution of the Cylon race and a feud between two families. According to reports, Malcolmson will play Amanda, a surgeon who goes to extraordinary lengths to help her husband revive her dead 16-year-old daughter via robotics.

Malcolmson may be familiar to readers from her roles on two HBO shows. She was Trixie on Deadwood and Jerri on John from Cincinnati.

Also joining the cast is Jericho-alum, Esai Morales. Morales has been cast as Joseph Adama, father of William Adama.

Joseph is described as a deeply passionate man with a strong sense of justice–and someone you wouldn’t want as your enemy.
