The headline sounds like a new Muppet skit, but in reality, a glimpse of an iPod was seen by NASA’s cameras onboard the International Space Station (ISS). It can be seen in the window of the space shuttle Endeavour. Since astronaut and NASA planetary geologic specialist Dr. David Williams has been a past guest on our show, I wonder if they listen to Slice of SciFi from space? Now that would be uber geeky cool!

Well if there’s any place that terrestrial radio doesn’t reach, it’s space 🙂
AdmJedi says
That is true but why an iBod? and not an XM Satellite Radio? I mean there are in Space and so are the Satellites of XM Radio and XM could give them Full access at no charge. It would be great for them that way they could here SoSF as well as other shows or other news if they want to as well as All the Mucic they Play…
Oh well I’ll stop singing XM’s horn.

Well unless NASA found a way to replace or remove the Lithium-Ion battery then that isn’t an iPod.
You really think they’d allow that sort of battery on the Shuttle with it and the battery’s track records!
Godot says
They do actually modify the iPods to make them Shuttle certified, replacing them with special alkaline batteries.
