Her Majesty’s Postal Service & Royal Mail has issued a new set of commemorative stamps showcasing Ian Fleming’s most famous spy in the world, Agent 007 — James Bond.
Today (Tuesday, January 8, 2008) six new stamps portraying Sean Connery’s roles as the popular British spy from “Dr. No,” “Goldfinger,” “Diamonds Are Forever” and “From Russia With Love” have been released in various denominations and can be used domestically or for overseas mail delivery.
“Being involved with the Bond legend is always an adventure, and these new stamps are a wonderful start to this centenary year,” stated Samantha Bond, the actress who portrayed Miss Moneypenny during the Pierce Brosnan days as Bond. “James has always held a special place in my heart, and now he will set millions of other hearts fluttering around the world.”
