David Benioff on “Wolverine”

December 4, 2007 By Sam Sloan 1 Comment

wolverine.jpgWolverine is returning to the big screen in 2009. The X-Men Origins story will tell the tale of how Logan became the mutant that he is. Gavin Hood is directing and David Benioff is writing the screenplay.

While promoting his latest film, The Kite Runner, David sat down with our good friends over at JewReview.net to talk about how he will adapt Wolverine for this prequel story titled “X-Men Origins: Wolverine.” And it really comes down to David being a lover of comics since he was a kid.

Catch the full conversation with David HERE.

Hugh Jackman will reprise his famous role of Wolverine from the three X-Men films and made famous in the X-Men comic book series.

There will also be a made-for-TV animated series titled “Wolverine & the X-Men.” It will debut sometime in 2008 with voice actor Steven Jay Blum set for the role of Wolverine.

I can’t wait for this movie! Its going to be soooooo freakin’ cool/awesome/etc!!! They’re sure cranking out tons of TV shows based on marvel these days. Lots of rehashed stuff, just drawn in a different style it seems. Oh well, I guess that’s to be expected.
