Bale the New John Connor

December 2, 2007 By Sam Sloan 4 Comments

christian-bale.jpgOnce actor Christian Bale is done shooting his next Batman movie, “The Dark Knight,” he will hang up the cape, park the batmobile and jump into the near future as the adult John Connor for the next Terminator flick.

Unsubstantiated rumors have been circulating around the next for nearly two weeks now, but now we can confirm that Bale is in serious talks to star in the fourth film in the franchise, “Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins.”

Bale would be a perfect choice as the rugged, battle-worn soldier fighting against a mechanized foe.

This fourth film was written by David Campbell Wilson, John Brancato and Michael Ferris. It will revolve around the adult John Connor, who has become the world’s leader and savior of the human race as they put up their last stand against the conquering machines.

“The Dark Knight” will hit theaters on July 18, 2008 and “T4” is looking at the summer 2009 for its premiere release.

Good choice, if the rumor is true. All he needs is a scar to fit the visual of the John Conner we know.

It’s no longer a rumor. Bale is indeed in negotiations to play Connor.
