Kevin Smith will be directing an episode of “Battlestar Galactica,” according to SFX Magazine. Smith has openly admitted on several occasions to being a huge fan of the Ron Moore reimagined series.
During his film shoot for the pilot episode of “Reaper,” Smith was approached by the producers of the Peabody Award winning show and asked if he would be interested in directing BSG.
His response was echoed in an interview he did for AOL — “It’s cool as someone who is a big fan and a supporter of the show to get up there and do one before they are all done… That show is genius and they have a very distinctive visual style.â€
So, expect to see the genius of Smith applied to the genius of Moore in this last season of “Battlestar Galactica.”
