On 9/26/06, New Line will release a digitally remastered DVD of the original A Nightmare on Elm Street, starring Heather Langenkamp and Robert Englund (as he of the ugly sweater).

That’s just one of many noteworthy horror releases on the horizon, as is Halloween: 25 Years of Terror (a two-disc retrospective on Michael Myers’ madness out July 25). Also, Frankenstein Unbound, House of the Damned, The Other and Night Train to Paris each make their DVD debut Sept. 25; while 1939’s The Return of Doctor X, aka Humphrey Bogart’s only fright flick, comes out Oct. 5.
