T4 – Ready or Not!

June 20, 2006 By S. K. Sloan 8 Comments

I’m not sure if the world is ready for this yet, but that has never stopped Hollywood before – so why should now be any different?

Get ready kids! Another Terminator movie is on the horizon. T4, which should be ready for a 2008 premiere will be directed by T3: Rise of the Machines helmer Jonathan Mostow. Guess his date book was open…huh?

James Cameron, along with actors Claire Danes and Nick Stahl have kept so far from this project you’d think a restraining order had been issued against them. Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, however, reportedly is having some of his people out there negotiating with the studio to have a cameo appearance.

And, who will be the actual Terminator this time? Rumor has it that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is interested. Or, how about Vin Disel? Another rumor circulating the campus is that Mostow may be more inclined to go with an unknown actor looking for a career launch, just like a young Arnie back in the day.

The John D. Brancato and Michael Ferris script is said to be completed and features the actual futuristic timeline in which an older John Connor is battling the mechanized warriors on a decimated planet Earth.

We will have more on the development of this project as it becomes available.

I wasnt too keen on t3 in the cinema but I still bought the DVD and it has become one of my favorite rainy day DVDs. A real shame the couldnt sign up Danes and Stahl as they made the movie and were fantastic characters.

I could do without Arnie and his corny cameos though.

Yeah, I know I’m overly tolerant of bad sci-fi, but I rather enjoyed the trilogy. Yeah, I agree that there were to many corny one-liners, but I am fascinated by time travel stories and the different theories that are used. I like what was done with the “you can’t change history” approach.

Oh, and it won’t bother me at all if the Governator doesn’t make an appearance.

Come on please, termintor 3 was a shambles, a over budget car crash. I am a huge Termintor fan and I said they shouldnt have made a 3rd due to the fact the 2nd ended so well. I also think there is no real need for a ‘terminator’ in the 4th film as it will just be humans against the machines and when John wants to send his soldier (father) back in time to protect himself against the terminator as an unborn child there should be a brief cameo from Arnie and Kyle Reece (Michael Beihn)

Please just get terminator, rambo, and rocky in a cage… wait a second, I think I just figured out how wrestling is going to work on the sci-fi channel!
