Due to what the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) called content material deemed unsuitable for players under 17-years of age and citing excessive gore and violence, a stricter, tougher “mature” industry rating label is being placed on Bethesda Softworks’ and 2K Games’ (Take-Two Interactive Software Inc.) “The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion” vidgame.
Neither company will contest the decision by the ESRB and will reflect the ratings change in the packaging of the games.
