BSG Brainstorming Session Recorded

April 16, 2006 By Summer Brooks 3 Comments

In just a couple of months, when Ronald D, Moore and the creative writing and production staff behind the awarding winning SciFi Channel hit Battlestar Galactica get together to brainstorm about next season’s show, their entire session will be recorded for a podcast.

Recording sitdowns with cast and crew of a TV program or movie is not unusual. Hollywood has been employing this method of recall for years. What is new, is the idea of using the recording as sort of a commentary podcast for some future broadcast out over the internet. In this, Moore is breaking new ground and heading into uncharted territory.

Moore is no stranger to podcasting. He has been doing a weekly podcast show since he reintroduced the revamped scifi program almost three years ago. His BSG podcast has consistently rated in the Top 20 on the iTunes Download chart.

So, keep an eye out for this special “Behind the Scenes” recording of how a show like Battlestar Galactica moves from the mind of people like Moore and his very talented writing staff to our TV screens every week.

After Moore released his commentary for the Season 2 finale, he released a 3 part podcast of a writers meeting for the episode “Scar”. So, there’s a good chance they may hold off until after Season 3
