The contest is a great idea, except for the fact that the contestants are ask to don costumes created from their own mind. Which lets me know that if you can afford or create your costume at home you have a very cheap and limited imagination. I feel that I might not be able to compete in this contest simply because I cant afford to create a costume for my character. My superhero or should I say superheros, because I have created more than a few consist of more than some tights and a bed sheet tied around my neck looking like a 35 year old geek. This contest should be judge on creativity with pencil and paper and an idea that makes sense. Not who can work wonders with cheap fabrics.

I disagree, you can make great things with cheap fabric, just check out what I did and others at the official “My Space” for “Who Wants To Be A Superhero” http://www.myspace.com/whowantstobeasuperhero I hope they call me, I think it would be a lot of fun, if nothing else, I would get my 15 minutes of fame.

Also, the contestant on the show will get a “Superhero Makeover” maybe because they know that some of the people haven’t use the right materials for a “Movie” or realistic looking costume. I can’t wait!
