“Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion” debuts as a Hot Item

March 31, 2006 By S. K. Sloan 1 Comment

The new Bethesda Softworks PC and Xbox 360 fantasy single-player RPG “Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion” is opening with rave reviews from players and critics alike.

This one boasts of some very creative interaction between the player and game elements with Bethesda Software making the claim that it would take nearly 21 days of continuous play just to begin capturing everything this RPG is capable of. With that kind of claim “Oblivion” promises months, even years of creative play and entertainment.

The vid has over a thousand different characters with Emperor Tamriel, one of the main guides in the game, being voiced by actor Patrick Stewart (Star Trek, X-Men). At a certain point in the Emperor’s guided tour he dies and leaves you the task of tracking down the true heir to his throne while at the same time fighting off a bevy of monsters and demons who pour out of the underground world of Oblivion intent on overthrowing his kingdom of light.

You build and create characters from the ground up, can play the game from many facets and perspectives, each time seeing the situation you are faced from another point of view and never loosing sight of your own character.

“Oblivion” also contains all the features from its predecessor and more, with the added feature of having graphic displays that will knock your socks off.

There is so much being offered with this release, including file sharing of the worlds you create that it would be frivolous to try to adequately explain it all in detail here. For the best look and the ability to download it straight to your own PC visit Bethesda Softwork’s Official “Elder Scrolls IV: The Oblivion” Website and get set to have the RPG experience of a lifetime.

Yes, this is shaking up the game industry internally right now too.

Even other game developers are sucked into the game, and in awe. For sure a historical moment in gaming.

    Bethesda did an awesome job.
