While in Washington D.C. starring in the stage production of “Shenandoah,” Scott Bakula (Captain Jonathan Archer) of STAR TREK: Enterprise told The Baltimore Sun he has heard that plans for a new STAR TREK series are “in the works.”

“When the dust settles,” Bakula said “someone is going to say, ‘Do we really want to let this, and all the money that comes with it, go?'”

Eager to talk about his current stage gig Scott concluded the topic of STAR TREK by saying that he can’t imagine the franchise will be neglected.
