Koenig and Mad Cow

January 26, 2006 By S. K. Sloan 1 Comment

STAR TREK’s Walter Koenig is starring in “Mad Cowgirl,” an independent film that has broken the trend of low-budget fare.

Mad Cowgirl is an experimental-art-comedy-horror-tragedy-Kung Fu epic. You can’t get any more campier or stranger than that. In the pic a woman who works for the LA Health Department investigates an outbreak of mad cow disease. She becomes infected and descends into a violent rage, killing any man in her path for the ill-treatment she has received from all the men in her life.

Koenig, in a role he surely must have relished, plays a real slime-ball as a grossly sex-addicted man of the cloth. You gotta love Walter’s sense of humor.

Koenig will appear at the movie’s San Francisco premiere at the city’s IndieFest held on February 4, 2006 9:30PM PT at the Roxie Cinema House. A word of caution: This is not a family movie as it does depict graphic violence and some brief hard-core sex scenes.

I’d say this sounds just sick & wrong, but coming from me that’d be a compliment. Go, Walter, go!
