EastEnders beat out Doctor Who on Christmas Day as the most watched program on the BBC
EastEnders attracted approximately 11 million viewers while Doctor Who’s Christmas show introducing David Tennant as the new Doctor was a strong second with 9.8 million viewers.
The network was very happy with Tennant’s draw and are confident he will be hugely popular as the new face of the good Doctor.

i really believe bbc and russell t. davies could
keep christopher eccleston. i dont know much about
him, but money is not a huge issue to i think heart and soul and good ol ass kissing would have
worked.to keep an employee reward and respect them
they should have worked with him because he proved
himself and the show was and is a hit.
i read some where that eccleston wants to do
BIG FINNISH AUDIOS so if true then who fans will be alittle happy. so im still afannnnnn welcome
