“The Triangle”: A scifi miniseries Must See!

December 2, 2005 By S. K. Sloan Leave a Comment

What do you get when you take a group of six disparate people and set them out to investigate an area of ocean that has reached mythological proportions?

You get one of the most anticipated science fiction miniseries since Spielberg’s “Taken”.

Beginning December 5th and running for three nights the Scifi Channel will bring to the small screen its most exciting and enterprising program to date.

Produced by Bryan Singer (X-Men), Dean Devlin (Independence Day) and Rockne S. O’Bannon (Farscape), “The Triangle” stars Sam Neill (Jurassic Park) as eccentric billionaire Eric Benirall who puts together a team of professional paranormal and scientific investigators to try and figure out why he is losing so many cargo ships in the disputed area known as The Bermuda Triangle.

The team consists of ocean resource engineer Emily Patterson (Catherine Bell), scientist Bruce Geller (Michael Rodgers), psychic investigator Stan Lathan (Bruce Davison) and the highly skeptical tabloid reporter Howard Thomas (Eric Stolz). Rounding out the group is everyman Meeno Paloma (deftly portrayed by Lou Diamond Phillips). Paloma is the only member of the assembled team with first-hand experience of what it is like to be within the clutches of the dreaded Triangle.

Benirall’s ‘carrot-on-a-stick’ that brings this unlikely group together is the promise of great riches. Each member joins up with their own agenda and reason’s for being there, but quickly find themselves drawn into something far more deadly and mysterious than any of them, with the exception of Meeno, had believed was possible. The horrifying and head-turning force that is The Triangle compels each to drop their own personal motivations for being there and forces them to join together as a real team in order to survive.

As a bonus the SciFi Channel and Slice of SciFi have also teamed up for a little something special for our fans. We will tell you more in a very special announcement soon. Watch for it right here on SliceofSciFi.com.
