Stay Out of “The Triangle”

November 2, 2005 By Kyle Nin 2 Comments

What JAWS did for swimmers the SciFi Channel’s “The Triangle” may do for boating.

The 6-hour miniseries from veteran sci-fi producers Bryan Singer (X-Men), Dean Devlin (Independence Day), and Rockne S. O’Bannon (Farscape) premiers on December 5, 2005. And with a pedigree like these three, it should turn out halfway decent.

The story centers around a disparate group of people who have been banded together by an eccentric billionaire who is tired of losing his cargo ships in the disputed region known as The Triangle. This band of professional investigators look into the recent and long history of mysterious happenings in The Bermuda Triangle. The more they probe into the area’s mysteries the more they come to realize they are in way over their heads.

The SciFi Channel garnered some actors with chops for this one. Sam Neill (Jurassic Park), Eric Stoltz (Pulf Fiction) and Catherine Bell (JAG) will headline. The cast is rounded out with Lou Diamond Phillips (LaBamba), Bruce Davidson (X-Men) and Michael Rogers (Red Rose)
