Stargate Toys No Fantasy

In an effort to rule all things collectible, Diamond Select has snatched yet another hot license. The popular collectibles company came to an agreement with LLC and MGM to produce action figures based on Stargate SG-1, now in its ninth season, and Stargate: Atlantis, entering its second season on the Sci-Fi Channel.

“The Stargate universe is a perfect match for DST,” said Chuck Terceira, Director of Diamond Select Toys. “We know the fans will love our attention to detail and commitment to delivering their favorite characters right from the show. Stargate has been incredibly successful and we knew it was time to take advantage of both shows’ continuing popularity.”

Release dates have not been announced, nor a specific products confirmed. However, Diamond Select announced Jean St. Jean Studios and Plan B would provide the sculpts for all figures and that Richard Dean Anderson, Amanda Tapping, Michael Shanks and Christopher Judge would be among those featured.
