No matter how the new Star Wars movie looks, it will still sound the same.
After months of speculation and crossed fingers, it was confirmed last week that John Williams will return to score the upcoming seventh installment in the long running franchise.
Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy and director J.J. Abrams confirmed the news at last week’s Star Wars fan event in Essen, Germany.
“Of course, I haven’t seen the script,” the Oscar-winning Williams said in an interview. “The story is still unknown to me, the new story. But I can’t imagine that there will not be some references to the existing stories that we know that would necessitate, and make appropriate, the use of some of the earlier themes.”
Williams discusses his return to the Star Wars universe in the following interview.
