If you’re ready for the next stage of becoming a rock and roll icon, you won’t have to wait much longer.
Publisher MTV Games and developer Harmonix announced that “Rock Band 3” will hit stores on October October 26.
The third installment in the popular gaming franchise will be available on Nintendo DS ($29.99), Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 ($59.99 each). No word on how much game’s new keyboard peripheral will cost or on potential hardware bundles.
The game will feature 83 songs and the appearance of keyboards for the first time in the series’ history.
Of course, several gaming outlets will offer various add-ons and extras if you purchase the game from them.
In a related story, USA Today reports that a karaoke version of Fox’s hit series “Glee” will hit stores for the Nintendo Wii later this year.

My wife and I are huge fans of the Rock Band series. When she found out about the keyboards coming to RB3, she actually got emotional.
