Oliveri Optimistic About “Heroes”

Many of us have heard rumblings that this could be the final season for NBCs “Heroes.”  But those rumors don’t mean much to series regular Dawn Oliveri.

“Everybody talks about it losing momentum and not being so great in the ratings, but honestly, this show makes so much money for NBC that I don’t see it gong anywhere. It’s had No.1 DVD sales every year it’s been on – internationally – and I don’t think it’s going anywhere. I think it’ll keep going,” says Oliveri to Digital Spy.

Oliveri joined the cast this year as Lydia.  Lydia is part of Samuel’s carnival who can apparently foresee the future via tattoos on her body.

Oliveri says that creating the images on her body can be an expensive process.

“They like to try to keep them on for as long as possible, because it costs around $2,000 each time they put one on me. It’s expensive! Considering that in an episode I might have to put them on two or three times,” she says.

As for what’s coming Oliveri says they’re currently working on the 17th episode of the season and that all of our regular favorites are slowly being drawn into the orbit of Samuel and his carnival.

“Everyone’s starting to meander their way over and it’s getting out of hand,” she says. “It’s attracted a lot of attention and it becomes a priority for many of the heroes on the show.”

As for ending the season, Oliveri says she thinks the show should go for a cliffhanger finale as it’s done in recent years.

“I would probably go cliffhanger, because that’s how you do it these days, right? As for satisfying, I’m not sure. There’s definitely gonna be a few surprises that we’ve been filming recently and it’s gonna stir up some trouble. There’ll be a lot of buzz, for sure,” she says.
