At a round table discussion at the annual E3 show, game designer Shigeru Miyamoto confirmed that Nintendo is working on a new entry on the popular Zelda game series.
“Perhaps this game will be Wii MotionPlus only,” he told USA Today. “We’re quite far into development of title, though, but we hope to bring it to you next year…or a little longer. We want players to feel like they’re in the adventure, create memories and explore new worlds but we’re working on all that now.”
Miyamoto didn’t delve into greater details at the discussion, saying Nintendo wanted to concentrate on several other titles that will be available later this year. He did bring along an illustrated sketch for the game, which USA described as “large drawing of a teenage Link, facing away from camera and small girl behind his back.” Photos of the art-work were prohibited according to the report.
Miyamoto also confirmed that Nintendo is working on expanding the presence of their signature character Mario on the Nintendo Wii. Fans can look for two new Mario titles in the coming months, “Super Mario Galaxy 2” and a Wii version of “Super Mario Brothers.”
“I’ve been working on Super Mario Bros. titles for about 20 years and there’s something I wanted to do that entire time: multiplayer.” he said. “Every Mario product I’ve worked on we’ve started with a multiplayer feature to try out but usually throw it out.
“Now with Super Mario Bros. Wii, it has a balance between competitive and cooperative play for up to four players on the same television at the same time,” he continued. “What I mean is, sometimes you’re trying to kick the person into an enemy or chasm or at other times you will try to help them out. Depending on where you are in the level you’ll figure out what you need to do.”

This will be great on the wii, using the wiimote and nunchuck, but I would love them to bring out a decent graphic version for either the Xbox or the PS3, still its great news.
