Looks Like “Blood Ties” Won’t Be Coming Back to Lifetime

Looks Like “Blood Ties” Won’t Be Coming Back to Lifetime

May 14, 2008 By Sam Sloan 2 Comments

As many of you are aware there has been an ongoing campaign to call Lifetime regularly to tell them how much fans enjoy “Blood Ties” and to ask about it’s renewal status. Well this week a couple of long time fans were told by Lifetime that they will NOT be renewing the show.

Our friends over at the SAVE BLOOD TIES campaign haven’t received any official confirmation from Lifetime as of yet but the folks who are sharing this information are well known and hard working members of the Blood Ties fandom.

You can check out the discussion threads at Bloodlines and Kyle’s Korner for more details.

There are many TV networks out there and there’s still a chance that another network will pickup the show. “Blood Ties” fans are already starting to plan campaigns to help the PTB (Powers That Be) at other networks realize what a great idea it would be to pickup the show.

As soon as we get more details on all these developments we’ll be sure to share them with you.

The fans of Blood Ties are already starting new campaigns to let other networks know that the show is available to be picked up by a more deserving venue who will give it the respect and treatment that a show of this caliber deserves. Blood Ties is the absolute best and brightest show of 2007, best vampire show ever, and most dazzling cast!!!
This is the best written, best directed, and best acted vampire series ever, thanks in large part to Tanya Huff’s Blood series and Peter Mohan’s vision. This show deserves to have as many seasons as there are stories to tell and this cast to provide the attraction for the audience. Even my husband watches this show, maybe it’s the procedural nature of the detective element, but I think Christina Cox has a lot to do with it. For my part, I think the entire cast and crew is a great mix and all four of the main cast are dead on and have the nuances of their characters in complete attunement to each other. This is chemistry and synchronicity at their height. The casting department, producers, and powers that be, really got the alchemy of the source material and their actors are perfect for this show. We, the fans, are totally thrilled with the final product, we would appreciate it if our favorite show were to be aired by our favorite network. Fortunately Lifetime, who got first dibs, has finally declared it as cancelled and it is up for grabs to a network fully suited to getting the fan base even larger than it is now. Most of its past advertisement has been word of mouth.
