Actor Emeraude Toubia and Director Felipe Vargas talk about the new horror-thriller Rosario from Mucho Mas Releasing. Be wary of what inheritances family can pass on.

We talk about including distinct cultural elements from Colombia in the film, plus the necessary and extensive use of practical effects to build the near-oppressive atmosphere of the grandmother’s apartment. Felipe believes there’s space to explore both Rosario’s next steps, and Grandmother Griselda’s history.

There’s also a graphic novel companion for the movie, telling the story of a young Griselda and her twin sister Ximenia. Rosario: Origins #1 from AMP Comics is available for pre-order now through your local shops, and will be available July 16.

Rosario is in theaters May 2, 2025 from Mucho Mas Releasing.

Are there any spooky legends from any specific region of the world you’d love to see a movie about? Let us know! Leave a voicemail or text message at 602-635-6976, send Summer an email, or chat with us in the comments below!
