Director Robert Rippberger and actor Frankie Muniz talk quickly about Renner, a story about a genius who’s created Salenus, an AI life coach, but he realizes too late that her personality and intentions closely mirror those of his manipulative and abusive (and deceased) mother.
Frankie talks about focusing on the emotional strain the anxiety and OCD tendencies affect Renner’s life and work, and Robert talks about creating the right aesthetic for Renner’s home.
And yeah, maybe there could someday be a Salenus toy.
RENNER is in theaters and On Demand on February 7th, and will be available on streaming March 18.
