Roye Okupe is the creator of the original graphic novel series and the animated series, and he’s joined by writer and story editor Brandon Easton (Agent Carter, Transformers: War for Cybertron), and Emmy Award-winning writer Kerri Harris (Ada Twist Scientist) talk about the journey of this story from graphic novel series to animated series, designing an epic fantasy based on Nigerian culture and fables, and more.
Adapted from the popular “Iyanu: Child of Wonder” graphic novels, the animated series will be premiering on Cartoon Network and Max in Spring 2025.
Volume 4 of the graphic novel series will be available in March from YouNeek Studios, Lion Forge Entertainment and Dark Horse Comics.
