Director John Gulager and actor Efren Ramirez stop by to talk about Seven Cemeteries, their new horror-black comedy-western that I believe plays at being “The Magnificent Undead Seven”.
First John talks about developing the story, and wanting to do a “Seven Samurai” styled adventure with Danny Trejo, but for John the movie needed to be a horror. We also talk about practical effects and costume design, and more.
Next, Efren talks about being in zombie makeup from start to finish, relishing being the worldly wiseass of the story, of finding the heart of Miguel while bonding with Bravo (Danny Trejo) and finding the right comedic balance, and more.
Seven Cemeteries will be in Theaters and available on Demand and on Digital on October 11th.
