Director Eugene John Bellida and producer Deborah Rickey are here to talk about their indie suspense-horror feature The Girl Who Cried Her Eyes Out. They both shared in the writing with Fabrizio Fante, and when the press kit includes line items of:
1. Could be shot for under $250k
2. Is compelling enough to warrant an audience’s attention for 90 mins
3. Is worth all the pain and suffering that goes into shooting a feature film
you know that many questions will be asked!
We talk about the shooting schedule (10 days!), working the script to get the character dynamics where they wanted them to be, shooting with minimal resources and location access time, and of course, the practical special effects.
We dive a little deep into this one. And we’re waiting for Parts 2 and 3.
