This week, Shudder curator Sam Zimmerman stops by to talk all about his job selecting the films and shows that are helping Shudder take the streaming services world by storm.

Sam talks about how the entertainment providers seem to be moving more towards niche and focused programming instead of providing one stop for all, how AMC started out wanting to be the go-to library for horror, and how that moved to providing original horror entertainment.

Looking forward to 2019, where Shudder will be presenting the original series adaptation of A Discovery of Witches, but a Greg Nicotero-led revival of Creepshow, and it won’t be 100% horror, there’s thriller and suspense and some martial arts action as well.

Plus, introducing Joe-Bob Briggs to a younger horror/cult classic audience can never be a bad thing, and now he’s hosting a new Christmas marathon on December 21, which fans will be able to watch on Shudder TV.
