This week, Summer chats with writer/director Luke Sparke, and later with actor Dan Ewing about their new scifi action-thriller Occupation, out on July 20 from Saban Films.

Occupation follows what happens when an extraterrestrial invasion lands in a small Australian town, and follows some of the residents who’ve escaped the initial assault to survive in the surrounding wilds. Over the next year, they learn to trust each other not only to survive, but to try to rescue their friends and family taken captive and turned into forced labor for the occupying forces.

Yes, it’s Red Dawn meets Independence Day, and both Luke and Dan talk about how much fun they had making this one, and so much more.
