This week, genre favorite Sendhil Ramamurthy stops by to chat about NBC’s new techno-drama Reverie. The show features Sarah Shahi as Mara Kint, a former hostage negotiator brought in to a new tech company that uses a fully immersive VR world to allow people to live out their wildest fantasies or deepest desires. Her job is to find people who’ve lost themselves inside the programs and bring them out safely. Sendhil plays Paul Hammond, designer of the VR worlds and some of the technology that allows Mara to interact with the dreams of other people inside the virtual realms.
Sendhil talks about how the growing real world interest in VR and it’s potentials drew him to the role, along with the passion Paul has for using this dream technology to help people recover from grief, trauma and more.
Catch Reverie on NBC, Wednesdays at 10pm.
