This week, Summer chats with a few members of her favorite geek rock band, Sci-Fried, mostly about their new album, “Hyperspaced”. The album covers just about everything geeky & pop culture these days, Star Wars, Star Trek, video games, and Game of Thrones for starters.
Jim Frederick plays drums, Vern Loyed is on vocals and Sunni Simmons on bass, and the guys chat about their creative process, pulling together rock ‘n roll and geeky topics into energetic songs with funny lyrics. The conversation ranges all over the place, full of geeky jokes and laughter, and with a little seriousness around their musical response to the nightclub shooting in Orlando.
