This week, Summer chats with filmmaker Aaron Wolf, co-writer and director of Tar, a new indie creature feature that’s a throwback to the old school monster movie styles, with practical effects and featuring a monster that isn’t an overdone retread.

We talk about his inspiration for making the movie, for wanting to do practical effects, and for going with atypical casting choices to get the right feel for the characters, and more. There’s even a fun tangent down the memory lanes of favorite monster movies of the past.
