First up, Noah and Trouble talk about The Theory of Everything, the new biopic about Stephen Hawking. Trouble has been looking forward to seeing this movie, and Noah talks about what he saw and enjoyed in the movie, and ways this movie might appeal to scifi fans while being of more interest to science enthusiasts and fans of solid dramatic storytelling.

Nosferatu Feature Film Remix

Next, Filmmaker David Lee Fisher talks with Summer about his latest project, a digital remix of the classic 1922 horror film Nosferatu.

David talks about his love of German expressionism, and how that influences what he sees and wants to do with classically styled movies from the early years of scifi and horror filmmaking. He also talks about the extra work involved in developing a script that brings real dialogue to the movie, and the musical score — bet you never thought you’d hear Kraftwerk and theremins come up in the same sentence, did ya?

For The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari David won Best Visual Effects, Best Cinematography and Audience Choice awards at the Screamfest Film Festival, premiered at the prestigious Sitiges Film Festival in Catalonia Spain, and won the Saturn Award for Best DVD of the Year.

Go to the Kickstarter page and watch the project overview video featuring David, Doug Jones, and effects artist Mike Elizade to find out more about the making of this feature, and also how you can help bring this vision to the screen.
