“Singular” — Being Special Sci-fi short film from the Orozco Brothers

November 10, 2014 By Sam Sloan Leave a Comment

In an America where everyone has superpowers, Andy, the only kid who doesn’t have one, struggles to escape a group of bullies led by Sofia. Her goal in life seems to be just to make Andy’s life more miserable than it already is. But what begins as an ordinary ‘everyday’ beating ends up spiraling out of control, putting Andy in a life-or-death situation where courage, leadership and sacrifice will guide him — and Sofia — to discover the true meaning of “being special.”

Singular, a short-film from the Columbian movie-making brother team of writer/producer Carlos Esteban Orozco (Lynch) and director Juan Felipe Orozco (She Only Comes At Night) stars newcomer Camilo Avila, Venezuelan TV and film star Albi De Abreu (Cumbia Ninja), Julieth Restrepo (At the End of the Spectra) and Jose Restrepo (El Laberinto) as Andy.
