“Hemlock Grove” Season 2 Debuts July 11

July 2, 2014 By Summer Brooks Leave a Comment

Season 2 of the original Netflix series Hemlock Grove is set to begin on Friday July 11, 2014.

This horror mystery series opened to rave reviews and high audience participation but began losing some of its steam by mid-season after getting mired in its convoluted plot twists.

Episode 1 of the first season opened with the mangled body of a local teenage girl on the outskirts of a Pennsylvania steel town that was living mostly on the memories of its glory days as a major steel producer for the world. Suspicion for the gory murder quickly fell on a young man with a troubled past who only recently returned to town with his mother after a long absence.

The final episode of the freshman season follows the killing spree that left the show’s two main families devastated, looking for answers and lost loved ones.

The main cast of Hemlock Grove includes Famke Janssen (X-Men), Bill Skarsgard (Anna Karenina), Landon Liboiron (Terra Nova), Penelope Miller (The Vampire Diaries) and Freya Tingley (Once Upon A Time). The show has co-starred a list of favorite sci-fi actors such as Battlestar Galactica alums Aaron Douglas and Kandyse McClure ,and Dougray Scott (The Day of the Triffids, Doctor Who).

Head over to Netflix if you missed season one and want to binge watch before the debut of the second season.
