Welcome To “The Machine”

Welcome To “The Machine”

March 26, 2014 By S. K. Sloan Leave a Comment

In the midst of a new Cold War in the not-too-distant future two British scientific computer programmers create the world’s first self-aware, fully integrated conscious artificial intelligence.

This new life-form, dubbed The Machine, is the ultimate new soldier that looks nothing like standard robotics. It looks, feels, sounds and smells fully human but with the speed, strength, intelligence and aggressive attitude that far exceeds anything remotely homo-sapient.

Soon after development a flaw in The Machine’s programming is located, but too late. The bug is caused by the program’s too close affinity to the human DNA coding. What takes a human being a lifetime to try and master – aggressive emotions, hatred, destructive behavior, etc., is thrown all at once into the mind of The Machine resulting in a psychotic paranoid fit of violence and mayhem.

The Machine is directed by Caradog W. James (Little White Lies) and stars Toby Stephens (Black Sails, Robin Hood), Sam Hazeldine (Resurrection), Denis Lawson (New Tricks) and Caity Lotz as Ava – aka – The Machine. Many will know Caity as Black Canary on The CW Network’s Arrow.

The Machine becomes available for Video On Demand viewers April 8, 2014 and in theaters nationwide on April 25, 2014.

Until then enjoy these two official trailers for THE MACHINE:

The Machine is available to own on DVD and Blu-ray from 31 March.
