First Look – Dwayne Johnson Is Hercules

Here is your first look at Dwayne Johnson as the original superhero Hercules, tweeted by The Rock himself.

Johnson’s new film Hercules: The Thracian Wars is directed by Brett Ratner and is due for release on July 25 and the rest of the world after August 8, 2014.

The movie is based solely on the titled graphic novel and follows Hercules as he tries on the role of a mercenary. Hercules: The Thracian Wars boasts of a stellar support cast that includes Academy Award winner John Hurt, Joseph Fiennes, Ian McShane, Rufus Sewell, Rebecca Ferguson, Ingrid Bolsø Berdal and more.
