Geek Radio Program Slice of SciFi Bounces From Satellite To Internet
Slice of SciFi, one of geekdom’s longest running talk radio shows, has moved from its SiriusXM Radio channel to popular Internet Radio Station KryptonRadio.com.
Slice of SciFi can now be heard on Krypton Radio Monday through Friday, at 1am / 9am / 5pm PACIFIC, 4am / 12pm / 8pm EASTERN, and 9am / 5pm / 1am GMT.
Prized for landing coveted interviews with top actors, writers, directors, comic book celebrities, creators, and artists in the geek (or sci-fi, fantasy and horror genres) market since 2005, Slice has entertained millions of geek-centric fans with its multimedia news, weekly podcast and SiriusXM show. The recent sale of their SiriusXM Channel home to an Agri-Biz broadcaster prompted Slice to seek a more suitable broadcast partner, and Krypton Radio was on their radar.
Said Summer Brooks, Executive Producer of Slice of SciFi, “Krypton Radio targets the specific audience that enjoys our geeky radio show. Thanks to the accurate analytics Internet Radio can provide, I can gather more measurable and actionable audience data to best nurture and satisfy our fans’ many interests.” Said Gene Turnbow, President of Krypton Media Group and Program Director for Krypton radio, “We’re the only general sci-fi radio station on the planet, so Slice of SciFi is perfect for us. We’re glad to have them as part of the Krypton Radio family.”
Krypton Radio has been broadcasting on the Internet since 2009. The station plays an eclectic mix of music from the worlds of science fiction, fantasy, steampunk and gaming, together with engaging talk shows and ripping adventure serials both old and new, making it an ideal fit for the Slice of SciFi audience.
