The CW Network, the home of such hit genre shows as The Vampire Diaries and Arrow is boasting of a 2013-2014 lineup that will further its makeup as one of the hottest sci-fi/fantasy genre outlets on network television.
The biggest news is, of course, The Vampire Diaries spinoff “The Originals” which will center on Klaus and his family of original vampires (Joseph Morgan, Claire Holt and Daniel Gillies, et al).

Also on tap is a new series about a group of teens sent back in a spaceship to a post apocalyptic Earth. Set 97 years after a nuclear war has destroyed civilization, these 100 juvenile delinquents become humanity’s last vestige of hopes for re-populating the planet. “The 100” stars Henry Ian Cusick (LOST) as Councillor Kane, Kelly Hu (Warehouse 13, Arrow), Fred Cruz (Teen Wolf) and Marie Avgeropoulos (Cult).

The next sci-fi/supernatural series on tap for this fall is “The Tomorrow People,” starring Robbie Amell (Revenge), Amanda Clarke (Pretty Little Liars), Sarah Clarke (Covert Affairs) and Jeffrey Pierce (Cult). “The Tomorrow People” tells the story of several young people from around the world who represent the next stage in human evolution, possessing special powers, including the ability to teleport and communicate with each other telepathically. Together they work to defeat the forces of evil.
